Snow Removal: Our snow removal service for 2017-18 is PES (Platinum Environmental Solutions). If any homeowners want to contract with them for snow removal from their private driveways, you may call Torrey at 719-499-3558.

Chipping Date set for 2018: The 2018 chipping date is week of September 10, 2018. To participate, call 719-385-7342 or visit csfd.springsgov.com and select "Chipping Program."  We are Mountain Oaks.

We need a minimum of 12 participants to continue in this program. It is a great way to get your tree debris cleaned up by simply stacking it at the curb. Note that your piles must be stacked curbside by 8:00 am Monday morning of our designated chipping week and each bundle is limited to 5'x5'x5' with diameter of logs no more than 9 inches. Incorrectly stacked piles WILL NOT BE PICKED UP.

 What’s Acceptable:

  • Woody limbs and branches only, up to 9” in diameter

  • No construction or building materials.

  • Woody material must be clear of nails or wire.

  • Piles only; no bags.

  • No trash, weeds or yuccas.

  • No root wads, dirt or rocks.

  • No grass clipping or bags of leaves.

  • Pile Guidelines:

  • Piles must be stacked with cut ends facing the road.

  • Piles must be within 5’ of the roadway.

  • Limit pile size to 5’x5’x5’. No limit as to the number of piles

  • Slash mulch will be hauled away for recycling or a full load can be left on-site for mulch when requested.

  • Do not combine piles with neighbors or haul in material from other neighborhoods.

  • Do not bind or bail/tie the piles.

  • Piles must be free of foreign objects.
